A softball scoreboard for every diamond in the park.

Keep the runs and the count on a phone in the dugout, put the line score on a screen by the backstop, and stream the final from one app.

Four diamonds and a whiteboard at the gate.

Softball fills a park on a summer weekend, with games on every diamond and a whiteboard by the gate for results. The count is kept by the plate umpire. The runs are kept in a book on a folding chair. Nobody in the stands knows whether it is the fifth or the sixth, and the tournament desk learns the score when a coach walks over to tell them.

How softball is scored in WR Score.

A game runs to seven innings at most and ends after the last inning. A tie goes to overtime. There is no clock to run.

On the Scoreboard each side has run keys that add one, two, three or four runs at a press and a key to take one back, with keys for hits and errors. The game keys count balls, strikes and outs, forward or back. The board shows runs, hits and errors for both sides, the inning and who is at bat, and it keeps the runs of every inning. Each squad gets a sheet of 17 rows with every player's number and runs.

After the game, print the team sheet, the scoresheet and the result sheet, or a blank scoresheet for the scorer's book.

Your sponsor

On every screen at the field.

Hall screens put the line score on a screen behind the backstop or a clubhouse TV, in your team's colours. It takes the shape of the screen it is on. Between innings it shows your sponsors, and every airing is logged for them. If the reading pauses, the last score stays up, marked held. The board is never blank.

Run the rec league and the summer tournament.

Keep your clubs, teams, players and umpires in one place. The weeknight league gets a table worked out from the final scores using softball's own points and tie-breaks. A summer tournament plays its pools as groups and finishes with a knockout, and the bracket moves each winner on by itself. With four diamonds going at once, the day by court shows every game and marks a field booked twice.

Each scorer scans a QR code and keeps the game on their own phone, with nothing to install. It works offline at a park with weak signal. After each game, Posts makes a picture of the result or the table in your league's look, saved for you to share.

Time back, more to offer.

Softball leagues run on an organiser with a spreadsheet and coaches who double as scorers. WR Score takes the spreadsheet and the chasing of results off them. In return the league can offer a real game night: the line score where everyone can see it, a stream for families at home, and a screen a local sponsor will want a place on.

The camera.

The camera reads basketball boards today. For the other 49 sports, WR Score keeps the score by hand, and OCR — a camera reads the scoreboard your hall already has — comes sport by sport as we record each sport's boards.
